((Ok this is a plot and rp for Paige and I so nobody else touch....no touchy ok?))
This was it, auction time he'd been pouring over the program for a week now and already knew what he was looking for. Actually he had bought a horse that was supposed to go to auction before it did before. He knew that the horse was still at the grounds though. So he would be taking at least one horse home with him. There had been another horse that had caught his eye though, Caballo Del llueva. That was the one horse that he was after now, the horse was a big sixteen point three hand bay two year old. He heard that the horse was massive and had a huge stride. He would be perfect, he only hoped that things would work out. Although he did wonder why the horse was at the small auction hardly anybody was here. Not to mention the horse had very nice lines and would have brought a lot of money at a bigger auction. Yet, he knew that Paige would probably be after the horse too he just hoped he could outlast her if there was a bidding war. His eyes wandered over Rocky, he had came with him just in case he needed help loading the stallion into the trailer. Of course Rocky had been self conscious about his appearance and had been worried about the faint lines from his brace that showed through his jeans. That was why he had assured him that the lines were not noticeable unless somebody really stared at him. It was a true statement and he himself had to admit that Rocky did look sharp, very sharp. Actually he'd been attracting a few looks.
Crowds, meant strange people but he was fine with it. As long as Brian didn't disappear from his sight. That was why he was sticking close by him he hadn't told Brian that he had seen the horse that he was thinking about buying at the track. The horse had been monstrous and at one time had been stabled next his previous bosses horses. A few times he had been near enough to the horse to pet him and on several occasions the horse had reached its head out of the stall and bumped his shoulder playfully. Yet every time he couldn't do anything since his boss had been watching him like a hawk, waiting for him to make a mistake to punish him for. He wanted to make sure that it was the same horse though but the name sounded very familiar. Plus he knew that the horse had been sold. He watched as people seemed to stare at him, did they think he was Brian's younger brother or something? He knew that they couldn't be staring because of the scars since all of them were once again perfectly covered. His light brown eyes looked around for a moment before he quickened his pace a bit to keep up with Brian. He didn't want to end up getting swept into the crowd.

((Can you make him a 4 year old?))
A shiny black 4 x 4 vehicle with a trailer in tow rattled into the small yard. The side of the trailer read 'Shanmar Racing Yard'. Paige looked at the open barn doors as her boot went down on the break. Grabbing her gloves from the passenger seat, Paige hopped out and hid the gravel floor with a soft thud. closing the door, she rushed towards the green double doors that led to the barn. Walking briskly up the aisle, she saw the bay put his handsome head over his half-door. Tears stung the back of her eyes. |I love you Zanzibar| she whispered. |And no matter what, I will never forget you. It's been 4 years and you're still my boy. I should have brought you with Sataumo| She hugged him tightly, and then giving his soft, velvety muzzle a kiss, she reluctantly said goodbye. Her aunt's foal was now a promising racehorse, and it was Paige's job not to let him go again. As she opened the door to the auction ring, she came behind Brian and Rocky. |You're dead| Paige whispered to Brian before rushing off to her reserved seat next to the enterance gate. She hung her arms over the fence, not sitting on her blue chair, but leaning over. Her bidding card ready, Paige Lowley was ready to bring Zanzibar, or Caballo Del Ilueva, back home to Paige, his previous owner's neice...

Great, Paige was there and it looked like she would be bidding on the horse too. That was just great, he knew that things probably wouldn't turn out too well. If he ended up with the horse than she would bother him to no end. But he needed this horse though, ok so he really didn't but it felt like he did. His eyes wandered over to Rocky he seemed amazingly relaxed about what had just happened. Although he did look a little bothered by something yet he didn't really know what. Had he heard what Paige had said to him, probably not since he'd been a few feet behind him. It was just then when he realized that his reserved seats were right next to Paige's, that was just great. How was he supposed to make business decisions with her sitting right next to him. Not to mention they both probably wanted the same horse. Hopefully he would have better luck once the bidding time came. He then made his way over to the seats and wondered where he should sit. Next to Paige or one seat away from her, he honestly didn't care either way she'd be near him. It all depended on what Rocky wanted.
He hadn't told Brian about meeting Paige, for one reason he'd picked up on the fact that the two were not on the best of terms. He hadn't heard what she had said since he'd been off thinking about the horse that Brian wanted. It had to be the same one that he had actually been around twice now that he really thought about it. Once had been two years ago and then a few months ago the horse had ended up back at the barn at the track. If Brian ended up with the horse he'd have to make up for not being able to even acknowledge the horse's presence. That was another thing that had made him worried about going to this sale, he knew it was a small sale which meant that the trainer he had worked for before getting fired might end up being here. He could remember the reason why he'd been fired all too well, he'd supposedly been a lousy groom. Which he knew wasn't the truth he had basically just been let go because the stable was downsizing. It was then that he noticed that the seats were next to Paige. He looked at Brian for a moment before sitting down in the one that was next to where Paige was. Leaving Brian the one furthest away from her.

((Zanzibar, as she may end up calling him, is coming to mama! Oh, we will both play the auctioneer kk?))
Paige smiled at Rocky as the auctioneer came to the raised platform in front of a board which displayed the amount in dollars. The auctioneer drew a breath in, and then he begun.
|Welcome back everyone after that short break. Onto lot #57 now, a promising stalion of 4 years called Caballo Del Illueva. How about we start at $4,000, any bids of $4,000?| the auctioneer rushed. Paige's card flew into the air with excitement. The bay stallion pulled towards her, recognizing her voice and appearence.
|Zanzibar....| she sighed, rubbing his nose.

((Caballo Del llueva is a mouthful isn't it. Yeah we can both play the auctioneer. And instead of typing all of that out I'll call him Caballo.))
My god it was the same horse there was no doubt now. He watched as the horse pulled toward Paige the horse knew her? "Brian, I know this horse he was stabled right next to the horses that I used to groom. Two years ago he was and then a couple of months ago he showed up there again." Rocky said and then looked at Brian he was actually pretty shocked that it really was the horse. He noticed more people coming into the area and moved further back in his seat as he watched more people enter. At least Brian was next to him and not some strange person. He probably wouldn't have taken that too well and the nervous side of him would have came out. He couldn't remember if he had told Paige about the brace but he didn't think so. Hopefully she wouldn't stare at the faint lines that were left from the brace. He then looked at Brian for a moment again and waited for his reaction.
Rocky knew the horse, well he had seen the horse before all of this anyway. Plus it looked like the horse knew Paige, this was all very ironic. "Really, well you must know something about him then. That'll help if we get him." He said before raising the card and making a 5,000 dollar bid.
"Not really, Mr. James was always watching me so I couldn't even really look at the horse otherwise-" He said suddenly stopping in mid sentence before looking at Brian, he knew what happened if Mr. James seen somebody do something that was "wrong". Actually he knew that a lot of people knew what Calvin James did to people and animals.

((Can i add some money to my account, cos I need some lol))
A tear ran down her cheek as they pulled Zanzibar away. Caballo nickered to her, but the handler gave him a smack. Paige sighed as Brian bidded. She was soon to be bankrupt, and if she couldn't buy Zanzibar, it would break her heart. She had to give an offer Brian wouldn't advance on.
|Anyone for $6,00?| the aunctioneer called. Paige thought of a sum.
|I bid $20,000 on Zanzi...Caballo.| Paige yelled out. There was a stunned silence in the ring, and then everyone started talking all of a sudden. A young man walked in behind Paige.
|Sorry for being late| Max LaTayu spoke quietly, before sitting in the seat next to her. |$20,000! Who would pay that for this!| Max exclaimed staring in astonishment at the price board.
|Myself. Because if I lose Zanzibar again, my heart will break.| Paige sighed. As Caballo came past again, he reared and the handler lost the rope. He cantered over to Paige and kicked at the fence. Whinnying, Caballo nuzzled Paige. |Excuse me, will it be alright if i lead him round?| Paige asked. The auctioneer nodded, and Paige jumped over the wooden rail fence. Walking by his shoulder, Paige and Zanzibar stepped in harmony. She removed the headcollar, and they walked side by side once more, with no rope joining them.
((Awwwwwwwwww!))

((I'll pm you...something ))
The moment he saw Paige bid twenty thousand he felt the horse slip away. That was a big risk and there was no way he could afford it. He watched as the handler smacked the horse, couldn't he see that he just wanted to be by Paige. Of course he knew that most of the people here probably couldn't go that high just for one horse. Which once again brought up the question of why the horse had been brought to this auction. He could have brought in maybe two times that on lines alone at another auction. Plus he could tell that the horse's confirmation was great which would add value. Why did Paige have to want the horse in the first place. Of course the answer was obvious but he wished that for once she wouldn't be around whenever he was trying to buy a horse.
He watched as the price went up, he noticed the look on Brian's face. There was no way he would be able to bid back, or at least that was what he thought. "Go up by five thousand, just do it and ask later. It's too long of an explanation right now." He said and then watched as the horse was hit. It sent back too many memories that he had been trying to bury for the past couple of weeks. He started to shake slightly and then felt Brian's arm wrap around him as he said something he couldn't understand. In that moment he caught a glimpse of somebody he wished wasn't even in the building with him. He moved closer to Brian and then looked down and the ground as he slumped down in his seat hoping he wasn't seen.
What was Rocky even talking about? Did he have some plan in his mind or something. He felt him start to shake and quickly put him arm around him. "You're alright, nobody's going to hurt you I promised you that." He said softly and then watched as Rocky stared at the ground. It made him look up and look around as he tried to find what had scared him. Sure the horse being hit was the first thing but what was the second one? It was then that he caught sight of the alleged Mr. James. He didn't know him personally and never wanted to know him. He only knew what he looked like from seeing him at another auction trying to sell a horse that was crazy. He knew that he must have done something to the horse to make it that way. Just like what he had done things to Rocky the fading bruises on his arm were evidence of that. "He isn't getting near you, I'm following your lead." He said and then bid 25,000 and then gulped that was a huge number right now.

Alright. i have to do this. I want and need Zanzibar at Shanmar, with me. She pictured bottle feeding him, halter breaking him. Then the picture of him on her bedside table. She gulped. Here goes.
|I bid....| she took a deep breath |$50,000....| She called as Zanzibar pranced next to her.
Everyone was stunned into silence. Why, people asked. He was a good horse, but he wasn't worth that.
|Because, This is my baby, and if I don't have him, i will never train again. And I mean it.| she begun to cry, and buried her face into his dark mane. |Zanzibar, don't leave again. I need you..... Why are you here....| Then she remembered that her aunt was in hospital. Or she was.... |Zan, is aunt Lisa dead?| Of course he didn't answer. She didn't need an answer...

There was no way he was bidding that much, he wasn't that cold hearted to take the horse away from her and that was the least of his problems right now. He could see a few people staring at the two of them trying to figure out what was wrong. There really was no use sticking around and there was no way he could stare at Mr. James any longer. Plus he could still feel Rocky shaking and he knew that there was no way he was going to let him see everybody staring at them. "You're fine everything is going to be alright." He said and then picked up the trembling Rocky and began to make his way over to the stables. He considered putting Rocky in his truck but he knew that would be worse. Since he didn't like to be alone and not to mention he was in a strange place.
Rocky felt himself being picked up by Brian which meant that there was no way he was going to try and beat the money set be Paige. It probably was for the best yet still it hurt that he'd never be able to make it up to the horse for not even being able to look at him for more than a few seconds. "I'm sorry Brian." He whispered before burying his face into his shoulder for a moment before looking up to see Paige and Caballo. He then rested his head against Brian's shoulder and closed his eyes. He didn't want to see the people staring at them.
"You don't have to be sorry, there's nothing to be sorry about. Now lets go get Matador and get out of here shall we?" He said and then wondered if Paige would end up following them to rub it in that she had won. He couldn't take that right now, not with Rocky being so upset from seeing one of the people that scared him half to death. He then made his way over to the stable and then moved over by the chestnut stallion's stall while still holding Rocky. At least he had one horse to bring back to the farm.

She hugged Zan, squealing with delight. He was hers! She led the stallion out of the ring, and towards her car. Max carried the tack, and once the travelling boots and tail bandage were on, and tied him in the trailer. She did the back up and ran to Brian.
|I suppose....Thanks| she turned to Rocky. |Hey| she leant and kissed him on the cheek, before turning on her heel and opening the slide-across hatch. |Alright boy?| he whickered back. She did everything up, and herself and Max entered the car.....
((They haven't gone yet.)))

He had finally decided to set Rocky down when Paige appeared. Since he'd stopped shaking finally and appeared to be fine now, it was then that he heard Paige thank him. If one could call saying the words thanks a proper way of thanking somebody. "No problem, I'd hope that you'd do the same for me if a horse that I was connected to went through the ring." He said and knew that Paige wouldn't be interested in the type of horses he had been around at his parents ranch anyway. Unless she was looking for a pony horse or something since his parents had Quarter Horses that were working horses. Thinking about that thought made him think about Autumn Storm. The Quarter Horse would be eight years old now and he hadn't seen the horse since he was a two year old. He watched as she kissed Rocky, ok something definitely was up.
He felt Brian set him down on the ground and then seen Paige before he could say anything she kissed him. Then she left he could tell that Brian was confused. "I meant to tell you honestly I did." He said and then watched as Brian simply shrugged. He wasn't angry, was Brian sick or something? He had figured that he would at least say something about it.
"It's alright, honestly I don't care. But I just remembered I have to tell Paige something. I'll be right back can you get Matador ready though, we'll leave as soon as I get back alright?" He said and then smiled at Rocky before making his way after Paige he couldn't believe that he was doing this. Yet it was for Rocky he made his way up to her car. Making sure that he didn't look angry since he wasn't angry at all. Sure he was a little surprised by what had happened but still he was glad that it appeared Rocky knew somebody else besides him. And not to mention he had met her all by himself. Perhaps he had came across her that one night that he had needed to go to a meeting and suggested that Rocky should go out instead of staying home alone. Yes, that must have been where she met her. It appeared as if Paige liked Rocky he just didn't know how much she liked him.
"Paige look, first off congratulations on the horse. Next I'm, going out of town in a day for a day or two for a funeral. Would you mind, what am I doing? Would you mind making sure that he's fine at the farm?" He said and then turned back and began to make his way back to the barn. He was confused about the whole Rocky and Paige relationship but he wasn't going to interfere with anything. He knew that Paige would know that he was talking about Rocky before.
((Can you tell I was feeling slightly musey? ))
