Rabbit pressed his forehead to the cold steel of the railing, leaning half off of the veneer and moping silently. Considering the track was closed, there were only a few spatterings of people here and there, most on their way out, oblivious to the boy pouting by himself off somewhere else.
Okay, so maybe moving here so quickly wasn't the best idea, but he knew he had a pretty good idea of what he'd do now...
But what about school? It was stupid to up and leave without any plans whatsoever, and for once, Rabbit was regretting his own spontaneity. What kind of normal person hops on a bus and hightails it out of an entire state?
It was true he wanted to be successful: he wanted his own ranch, he wanted the ability to make his own decisions, but how could he do that if he didn't know what the hell he was doing half the time?
...I can't think like this. I like horses, he resolved, and I'm going to make the best of what I have.
And with that, he smiled to himself nodded as if content again, leaning forward on the stands.
Yeah, I'm gonna have fun here.

A woman, about early twenties walked in quietly behind the 17 year old, then walked so she was next to him. She pushed her blonde hair away from her face, and fiddled with the zip on her fleece. She pushed back her sleeve so she could see the time. Quarter to three. She had to go back to her farm at twenty past. She wanted to go back and work with Yesterday for a bit. She had yet to hire any staff, and was intrested in doing so. She looked at the teenager and opened her lips.
Hey, what you doing here? Paige asked. To be honest she only came here to relax a little, knowing that it wouldn't be long before her racehorses would be first. Sataumo had little time to make at as a first place winner, as it wouldn't be long until he was stud.

Rabbit made a grand show of his surprise, swiveling around to stare apprehensively at Paige. Upon seeing that she wasn’t a stalker-slash-serial-killer, he relaxed and smiled brightly, visibly considering the inquiry.
“‘What am I doing here?’ No idea!” he chirped, sliding his hands onto the rail again and rocking back and forth on his heels. “…Wellll, okay, not exactly that. I came up here to think. It’s nice, isn’t it? Not when it‘s packed, I mean, but… right now, it‘s nice. I bet you came up here to think, too, huh?” There came a pause, whereupon he turned back to Paige and extended his hand. “’m Rabbit!”

Paige smiled at the friendly teenager. She tucked her hair behind her ear and met his handshake.
|Yeah, to think, and imagine.| she smiled again, laughing silently to herself |Nice to beet you Rabbit. I'm Paige Lowley, owner of shanmar Racing yard| she shook his hand, then swung it back at her side. Pulling out a packet of mints, she offered him one. |Horses and humans alike 'eh?| she grinned.
She emptied a few mints on the rail. |We'll share| she chatted away, thinking of the Trescut Cup which was only round the corner. Turf cutting up everywhere, mud splashing on her racehorse's legs. It would be pure bliss.
