Robin roamed around the park, a smiling slightly at the cheerful atmosphere about. She glanced above at the pine trees bordering the stone path that wound throughout the park, dodging in and out of small cluster of trees, one wouldn't go so far as calling a forest.
She thought vaguely of Alimony, her father, barely sober, who was inevitably at the bar, chatting with the bar tender whom he had become unusually friendly with. She sighed, swaying slightly as she walked. She wasn't sure what she was looking for in this place, but she continued walking, humming slightly.

So once again he was at the park, it seemed like he came here every day. Of course he knew that was true since he'd decided to walk around the park a least once a day for the past week or so. That was because his apartment was small and he felt really cramped in it and he couldn't be at the track all of the time. He didn't have a job yet and needed one badly. He'd been laid off a few days ago and hadn't found somebody else to hire him yet. It wasn't like he was a bad groom or anything. It just was that everybody had all of the help that they needed. That was the problem with getting laid off when there wasn't a lot of other stables around. He knew that it would be easier if he would have needed to find a job in the summer months. Yet that was his luck and there was nothing that he could do to change it.
His blue eyes wandered around at the park until he spotted a girl around a group of trees. He might as well go up to her and try to speak with her. He didn't have anything better to do and was up for a good conversation. After all he really hadn't spoken to anybody for more than a few minutes in a long time. He made his way over to her and then stopped a few feet away from her. "Hello there I hope that I'm not interrupting anything." He said and then waited for her answer.

She furrowed a dark eyebrow, still preoccupied with the leaf she was fingering. "No, no," she said, finally looking up at him. "Come, sit," she said, sliding over and making room, vaguely wondering why she was speaking to a complete stranger.
But then again, she thought to herself, shrugging inwardly, there was no real stranger in a small racing town such as this one. She was sure she had seen this man's face, somewhere, maybe at the track, or when she had been searching around at stables for a job. She realized she had been silent for a long while now. She made an attempt to look cheerful, and not quite so lost inside herself, and though she was still thoughtfully quiet unless she found it necesary to speak, she made an effort to begin a conversation.
She cocked her head, turning blue eyes upon the stranger. "So, what is your name?"
